Zipline Adventure in Davao

I first saw the Zipline Adventure ride in Davao on TV and made sure I got to try it out the next time I fly to Davao.

We were given choices on how we'd like to ride the zipline.
I chose the SUPERMAN ride while my cousin chose the SIT-DOWN TANDEM with her daughter.

Below are the rates for Zipline Rides:
Php 300 - 1 ride
Php 400 - 2 rides
Php 500 - unlimited ride

We had to cross the river to start our hike up the zipline jump off point.

The uphill trek took us about 20-30 minutes hehehe

This was the  view on top:

and so we begin...

The staffs were very nice.

And they made sure that safety was the number one priority.

The speed averaged from 70-120kph, depending on the weight.

...while hanging about 200 feet up in the air.

A moving platform and a staff were waiting at the other end to assist the riders.

Kids and kids at heart will surely love THE XCELERATOR!

Outland Adventure will take your picture so after the xcelerator ride, you may purchase them at Php 100 each.

If you're looking for some adventure in Davao, THE XCELERATOR is best for you!

Biggest Wakeboarding Park in the Philippines - DECA WAKEBOARD PARK

We were very lucky when we got to DECA because it was a clear Monday morning and nobody was there yet.

So we asked the cable operator if he could adjust the speed since most of us were first-timers.

The park was not yet completely developed but it's already in full operations.

So far, DECA Wakeboard Park is considered to be the biggest wakeboarding park in the Philippines. Moreover, I think it is the largest in Southeast Asia.
The park offers promos and packagers for all riders to enjoy.

As of May 2010, DECA Wakeboard Park rates are as follows:
***ALL Cable Passes are inclusive of Lunch OR Dinner OR Snacks (except WED Half-day AM for Davao residents and DECA residents); and, FREE use of wakeboard, vest and helmet

Sun-Tues and Thurs-Sat (8:30am - 12:30pm; 1:30pm - 5:30pm)

WHOLE DAY PASS - Php 1,000 (regular rate), Php 800 (Davao residents), Php 600 (DECA Homes residents)

HALF DAY PASS - Php 700 (regular rate), Php 600 (Davao residents), Php 450 (DECA Homes residents)

*Special Rates every WEDNESDAY (10:30am - 12:30pm, 1:30pm - 5:30pm)

WHOLE DAY PASS - Php 800 (regular rate), Php 650 (Davao residents), Php 600 (DECA Homes residents)
HALF DAY PASS (AM) - Php 400 (regular rate), Php 250 (Davao residents), Php 250 (DECA Homes residents)
HALF DAY PASS (PM) - Php 700 (regular rate), Php 600 (Davao residents), Php 450 (DECA Homes residents)

Kids as young as 3 years old are still free of charge :)
The staffs were really friendly and they're all well-trained to take care of your young ones if they'd like to experience the fun as well.

They also offer free tips and even personally instruct you on how to wakeboard or kneeboard.

It was hard at first but one of us seemed to be a natural in this sport!

When going to Davao, please make sure to reserve at least a half day in DECA Wakeboard Park!!!

Day FOUR - 4D3N Coron Adventure - Until Then, Coron

This was our last day in Coron.

What to do? What to do?

We stopped by the city hall for picture taking.

Then off to buy CASHEW NUTS for pasalubong!!!
You MUST ask the tricycle driver to bring you to PANTALAN.  LITA ESCARDA'S CORON HARVEST is the best in CORON.

It's tedious to make a roasted cashew nut.
First, they have to open up the Cashew Fruit to get the nuts inside. Then, they have to dry them up before individually removing the skin, and so on.
This is probably the reason why it's expensive.
(Php 600 per kilo)

After buying our pasalubongs, it's now time to head to the Busuanga Airport.
I couldn't help but notice the "VIP" Lounge
I am not sure if the aircon was turned on :)
Boarding time....

We love the CORON VIEW from above
I wonder what island this is.

Upon reaching the MANILA Airport, we were all so hungry so we went to ARISTOCRAT :)
CRISPY FRIED SQUID (Php 141) - soooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood!!!

PORK SISIG (Php 172) - sarap to the last bite!!!! great with Garlic Rice (Php 35)

BONELESS CHICKEN BARBEQUE (Php 149) - best chicken barbeque in the Philippines!!! with their special sweet peanut sauce :)

BEEF KALDERETA (Php 335) - beef was really tender and tasty :)

BEEF DINUGUAN (Php 206) - definitely NOT cheap but this is truly the BEST DINUGUAN EVER!!!!
