Where To Stay In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Where To Stay In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We had the chance to stay at these two hotels while we were in Kuala Lumpur and I highly recommended these two for luxurious and/or budget travel :)

1. THE WESTIN KUALA LUMPUR - heavenly!!!!!
The Westin's Deluxe Room

"The Westin Kuala Lumpur's Deluxe Rooms offer a relaxing sanctuary, complete with modern décor in neutral tones accented with splashes of warm colors and a timber floor in the vestibule."

"Enjoy your favorite programs or movies on a 40-inch flat screen TV with a DVD/CD player or simply sit back and take in the view of the dazzling cityscape from a big chaise lounge. If work is on your agenda, a desk and chair, High Speed Internet Access (for a fee), and dual-line speakerphone offer uninterrupted productivity. A stocked refreshment center and a personal coffee maker add to the convenience of working from your room."

we loved Westin's white aloe tea soap and shampoo

"The marble bathroom offers a bathtub and separate glass shower stocked with White Tea By Westin™ bath amenities. A plush bathrobe completes the pampering experience."

The Westin's WorkOut Room

Backstory: We booked 4 deluxe rooms (for 9 pax) but then, on the last minute, 5 had to be left behind :( Let's do the math. 4 rooms, 4 pax - 1 room for each (and we had to leave for an early morning flight the next day...boohoo)

On the bright side, we were UPGRADED to The Westin's PREMIUM ROOM

WestinWORKOUT® Room with Twin Tower views, an indoor cycle or treadmill, free weights, and complimentary Runners Maps.

The Westin's Premium Room offers a memorable way to experience the vibrant heart of Kuala Lumpur. The iconic Petronas Twin Towers is a wonderful sight when we used our indoor cycle. Free weights, balance ball and other fitness equipment are readily available as well as a complimentary Runners Maps.

ADVANTAGES OF STAYING IN THE WESTIN KUALA LUMPUR:
- Leave feeling better than when you arrived after a great night’s sleep on a signature king-size Westin Heavenly Beds®. An oasis of lush sheets, down cushioning and a pillow-top mattress, it cocoons you in ten layers of comfort designed for a deep, undisturbed sleep that energizes your body and brain.
- Hotel is right across the Pavilion Mall (similar to the Philippine's Greenbelt Mall)

2. FURAMA BUKIT BINTANG - really nice budget hotel in Kuala Lumpur. (good value-for-money when booking in Agoda.com)

Furama Hotel - Kuala Lumpur

Furama Bukit Bintang Hotel may not be as luxurious as The Westin but it is one of the best for its price range. For as low as  USD 78, you may get this room with free daily breakfast and  in-room wifi.

TIP: The staffs of Furama are very friendly and accommodating. ASK for a FREE room upgrade. We did and  got upgraded to Executive Suite :)

clean toilet and bath with complete toiletries

"With separate living and resting areas, a veritable haven of relaxation awaits."

Free wifi in room but the username/password cannot be used simultaneously with other gadgets.

Furama's safety box can fit a 17-inch laptop inside

Infinity pool right beside the Spices Restaurant

Breakfast area at Furama Bukit Bintang

Having breakfast in Furama can be quite stressful due to the number of guests in the room. The hotel has 4 elevators, and they can get really packed in the morning. If you don't mind waiting for more than 30 minutes to get in the elevator, then go ahead and wait but we learned our lesson the first day and found ourselves in the stairway together with other guests :)

ADVANTAGES OF STAYING IN FURAMA BUKIT BINTANG:
- "This modern business hotel is centrally located in Kuala Lumpur's vibrant Golden Triangle adjacent to Bukit Bintang, Berjaya Times Square and Chinatown. Conveniently situated near the main shopping belts of the city, Imbi Station is just five minutes walk away."
- "All guestrooms are non-smoking and come equipped with complimentary broadband access for your convenience."
