I love living near Banawe because there are plenty of restaurants in the area.
Just recently, we were able to try the EAT FRESH HONG KONG FAMOUS STREET FOOD in Ma. Clara St., near Banawe :)
DRINKS:
Apple-Carrot Shake (Php 70) - very refreshing
Fresh Kiwi Shake (Php 70) - tangy but good
Iced Nai Chai with Black Jelly (Php 55) - their version of iced milk tea but it was just okay
RICE MEALS on CLAYPOTS:
Taosi Spareribs / Chicken Feet Combination (Php 130) - you really need to pour on the sauce to give an extra flavor.
Curry Beef (Php 115) - sooooooo good!!! We'll definitely order this again.
STREET FOOD on STICK (choice of Fried, Dipped in Curry, or Both)
Crab Fingers (Php 35 - 4 pcs) - most of the food on sticks are priced 25-35 pesos each.
Pork Intestine (Small/Big) - (Php 25) - We liked the one in Tiendesitas more but this was also good because their vinegar was tasty!
OTHER HONG KONG STREET FOODS:
Salt and Pepper Squid (Php 145) - a bit overcooked when served but the flavor was strong and spicy -- so good with rice!
Raddish Cake (Php 48) - good but they did not provide the special sauce for this.
Pig's Ear dipped in special sauce (Php 35) - yummy!!!
Duck Liver Sausage (Php 80) - if you love Chinese sausages then you'll like this one
Takoyaki (Php 60 - 5pcs) - price was just right. This would have been great if they changed the sauce.
Goto (Php 25) - we chose the goto dipped in curry sauce. YUMMY as well!
Hong Kong Style Fried Noodles (Php 50) - we loved this!!! The winning sauce combination was Peanut Sauce + Sweet Sauce :)
EAT FRESH HONG KONG FAMOUS STREET FOOD is always full and they are open MONDAYS-SATURDAYS from 10AM to 12MN. It would be wise to call them and ask to reserve a table for you.
