Pan-Fried Duck Liver at Paseo Uno's Weekend Luxury Buffet

I have been craving for Foie Gras since forever and Lilan, my cousin's fiancee, told us about Paseo Uno's Luxury Buffet. She was also generous enough to lend us her Mandarin Privilege Card :) yey!

The Weekend Luxury Buffet is held every Friday and Saturday nights, starting at 6:30pm.
Be sure you make reservations since the place is small.
It would also be wise to come early to make sure you get to try what you want because sometimes, they run out of supplies.




The Luxury Buffet is famous for their Pan-Fried Foie Gras and Slipper Lobster tails :)
YES! It is that luxurious. You also get to enjoy it with a complementary glass of wine :)







We were quite early when we came and the chefs were still preparing the food set-up.
We decided to go around the hotel for a while.



The hotel's lobby is very small, and we had to go to the second floor to see the pool area (maybe we just do not know where to go :p )

There was nowhere else to go so we decided to just go back to the restaurant.

Before starting our meal, a piece of bread was served to our table...

The butter was bland though :(



Most of the chefs and servers were still busy with the prep but they were very friendly and accommodating, always had a smile and a greeting to offer :)




A whole fresh tuna sitting on ice to be served for tuna lovers that night... A WHOLE TUNA!!!
Fresh oysters, elephant clams, alaskan king crabs, mussels, etc were also being prepared.


















Asian food section: Roast duck, chicken, dimsum, tempura, miso soup, etc

































This is also where you can get the steamed garoupa and Singaporean pepper crab.






Rotisserie and Grill:
LOBSTER tails, lamb chops, MEAT, MEAT and more MEAT



Since my digestive system is not strong enough for fresh oysters, I had to ask the chefs to have them grilled.
The oysters were super sweet and juicy!!
I just had to go back for more :)




The lobster tail was tasteful. Oysters were really fresh and sweet. Lamb chops --- Spiral's lamb shops were way better!
Not in picture: ELEPHANT CLAMS -- a must try! They ran out of this after an hour or so.


One of my favorites: The FOIE GRAS station



The chef recommended that I try with with the onion marmalade :)
I loved it!
It would also be nice to pair it with a piece of steak. YUM!




























Dessert Station: a disappointment :(



The chocolate cupcake was not moist. After forking into it, it seemed to be crumbling into pieces.

The pistachio panna cotta was too creamy (literally tasted like cream) on top and too sweet as you dig in.
I was excited to try the Raisin Nuts ice cream but also found it too sweet.
Even the cookie was a disappointment.









Since I don't want to end my meal with a big disappointment, I had to end it as I started it...
with CHEESE!!! They have a real good selection of cheeses at the bar. i all of it!



All in all, the evening was splendid!
We our dinner and would surely come back again :)

By the way, parking is free if you have your receipt stamped at Paseo Uno :)

Each pax is Php 1620 pesos plus tax, which would end up with Php 1990.
If you have the privilege card, Php 1990 is already the total bill for two :)
