Sta. Elena Fun Farm: (Balik-Bukid) Farming Experience For The Kids
Since we are not a fan of “malling,” we are always on the lookout for other places that are kid-friendly near Metro Manila. Some of which are Mind Museum (expensive), National Museum (free entrance on Sunday), Manila Ocean Park (also expensive), La Mesa Ecopark (crowded), Tagaytay (long drive), Beach (overnight stay), etc.
Last month, my friends suggested STA. ELENA FUN FARM… and this became my instant favorite! It’s only about an hour drive away from Manila, just 5 minutes away from Cabuyao exit.
I highly recommend this place to people who just want to spend the whole day with your family – quality fun time with each other plus the animals. Most importantly, it is SAFE so you will have a more enjoyable time together.
Please do try with all your might to keep your gadgets away and focus on the kids. Run with them, play with them and teach them how to care for other living creatures. ENJOY THE DAY AND JUST HAVE FUN FUN FUN AT STA. ELENA FUN FARM!
UNLIMITED Carabao Cart Ride and Horseback Riding (kids’ favorite)
What I liked most about Sta. Elena Fun Farm is that the place is not crowded at all since you have to reserve to make a visit. They control the number of people coming so it’s really nice – peace and serenity achieved!
Bring your own picnic lunch.
Feed the animals (guinea pigs and rabbits)
Play obstacle games
Play board games
Go fishing!
Be brave and ride the zipline
...or just stay in the Sand House and goof around
Ride the see-saw together
… or the tractor
… and the truck
Go up the play houses …
… or play against each other
Go to the secret garden and buy some organic greens.
Whatever you plan to do, Sta. Elena Fun Farm has something exciting you you!
TIPS WHEN GOING TO STA. ELENA FUN FARM:
1. Bring a cooler for ice-cold drinks. There is no canteen at the moment so better come prepared.
2. Bring snacks, packed lunch and DRINKS.
3. Bring extra set of clothes because you will definitely need it.
4. Bring baby wipes. The restrooms are actually very clean (complete with tissue, soap and alcohol) but it’s always nice to have extra.
5. Bring baby powder (in case you want to feel refreshed)
6. Bring board games, cards, etc. The kids will not stop running around and playing at the field so while the other adults look after them, the rest can just sit back, relax and play at the pavilion.
7. Bring insect repellent.
8. WEAR sunscreen.
9. Bring extra battery for your cameras.
10. KEEP YOUR PHONES AND TABLETS AWAY FROM YOU AND SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH EACH OTHER.
