DJC Halo-Halo in Bicol

DJC Halo-Halo in Bicol

We've heard that Bicol has the best halo-halo so we asked Louwil (our Bicol Tour Guide) to bring us to the restaurant serving the most famous - DJC Halo-Halo.
Since we're all a bit hungry, we ordered something else to eat too.

PALABOK (Php 40)
This was super disappointing! The noodles were not drained fully so the sauce and the noodles were sitting on a little pool of water on the plate :(

PANCIT BIHON (Php 90)
This was okay, good to share with 2-3 persons.

TOASTED SIOPAO (Php 25)

SUPER YUMMY with the dry giniling (ground meat) inside :)

and we saved the best for last...

 DJC HALO-HALO (Php 50)
DJC HALO-HALO IS THE BEST HALO-HALO IN BICOL!!!
The creamy leche flan was super good!!!
(That's my favorite ingredient in their halo-halo)
Do you know what made Bicol's Halo-Halo extra special?
THEY PUT GRATED CHEESE ON IT :)

  3. DJC does make good halo-halo but I would have to say that Graceland has the best halo-halo. The reason why?
    1. It has ube ice cream.
    2. The ube jam is softer and fresher.
    3. The leche flan they serve it with actually looks like leche flan and not so mushy like at DJC.
Although DJC's shaved ice is finer, it doesn't trump quality of ingredients where in this case, Graceland is the winner.
If you're still in Bicol, you should definitely check it out!
