Cafe De Bonifacio - a yummy Filipino restaurant in Podium, Ortigas
Ensaladang Talong (Php 149)
Loveet! Smokey eggplant tossed with other fresh vegetable greens drizzled with a special sesame-vinaigrette dressing complemented with salted egg.
Lumpiang Hubad in Pastry Cups (Php 120)
Sinigang na Tadyang ng Baka (Php 385)
Cafe de Bonifacio's beef sinigang is truly one of a kind! Chef Ogie Reloj used indigenous herbs such as galanggal (blue ginger) and kaffir leaves. The soup tasted like Thailand's tom yum soup and it was really good.
Crispy to the Bone Hito ni Ka Freddie (Php 358)
This is like the "crispy pata" of the sea. True to its name, the bones were crispy enough to eat, while the meaty hito was made extra special with the Cebu vinegar (pinakurat) - a Cafe de Bonifacio must try!
Ube and Macapuno Roti (Php 145)
Even the desserts in Cafe de Bonifacio are unique. Who would have thought that roti breads would be oh-so-good with traditional Filipino desserts? My pick: the mango latik! Mmmmmmm...

ReplyDeleteMany people choose great dining restaurants for a special occasion, so the food must not disappoint- in either selection or quality. You don’t need to feature a huge menu, but it should be interesting, offering unique items that patrons wouldn’t find at any other restaurant.
