It was another ramen day for us and we chose to try UKOKKEI RAMEN RON in Makati.
We arrived around 7pm. The place was already full so we had to wait for another 20 minutes or so.
FYI: We heard that the best seller was not in the menu - TANTANMEN RAMEN (Php 390). It was like AJISEN RAMEN's spicy pork ramen.Unfortunately, it was sold out for the day.
To start, we ordered GYOZA (Php 120 - 5 pcs)
These were really really good!
TORI KARAAGE (Php 180) - boneless fried chicken
very juicy! Yum!
Our drinks:
Soda (Php 60)
GREEN TEA (Pitcher - Php 100) --- do NOT order this!!! It was just like drinking plain ice cold water.
We tried two different ramens:
UKOKKEI MISO CHASHU (Php 380) - miso based soup (less salty)
UKOKKEI SHOYU CHASHU (Php 380) - soy based ramen noodles (it was a little too salty for me)
The ramens did not disappoint, but I think it was a bit expensive. Also, I hope they'll add an egg next time :)
For me, ATSU ATSU RAMEN and AJISEN RAMEN are still the better alternatives for a ramen fix :)
