DON DAY Korean Restaurant QC: EAT ALL YOU CAN for only Php299
Last week, we headed to Maginhawa St. in Quezon City to look for some new restaurants to try. We heard there are plenty of good finds in the area so off we went. Initially, we were supposed to try LORD OF THE WINGS, but the place was too small to fit all of us :(
Since everyone seems to be starving, my husband suggested we try DON-DAY KOREAN RESTAURANT, a really cheap Korean buffet in the area.
Fortunately, we were able to quickly locate DON-DAY. It was just across PINO Restaurant.
Just so you know, DON-DAY is an open restaurant, meaning, no air-con :p I hope you don't mind sweating like a pig while eating yummyliscious grilled pig.
For just Php 299, you may feast on a buffet of Korean specialties like pajeon, chapchae, Korean appetizers, soup, veggie wraps, rice and desserts. Best of all, this includes UNLIMITED servings of SAMGYUPSAL or thick fatty slices of pork belly.
However, I have to warn you that I saw two small cockroaches on the buffet table :p (To be on the safe side, I chose to only get the food that I will put on the grill)
TIP: Get the sesame oil with salt & pepper and the Korean sauce for your pork belly. SO GOOD!
Despite the heat and unexpected surprises, we still enjoyed our DON-DAY experience. We're definitely coming back for the UNLIMITED SAMGYUPSAL :)
FYI: They have a branch along Quezon Avenue (Sunshine Plaza Building, where Klownz is, near Timog, across TV5) and it's air-conditioned! YAY!!!

ReplyDeleteI actually live near Don Day and I agree that its kind of a hassle that it doesn't have an AC...I suggest next time you go there better reserve the table near the window so it won't be so hot. I actually eat there a lot with my friends and my brothers super worth the price! ^_^
