6D/5N Bicol Itinerary - Day One - Wakeboarding at CWC and Fun Time in Lago Del Ray
10:00 AM - Arrival at NAGA Airport via AIRPHIL EXPRESS
CWC offers free shuttle to/from airport to all their guests. It was a short 5-10 minutes drive.
Our rooms were not yet ready since check-in time was at 2PM so we decided to go straight to the restaurant and have lunch first.
That's their cool "wakeboard" menu.
Our top priority from the menu: LAING PIZZA - simply because this was highly recommended by friends and family who have been there.
BICOLANO PIZZA (Php 230) - CWC Best Seller.
Taro leaves cooked in coconut milk and chilis topped with mozzarella cheese.
OUR VERDICT: A-A-A-A-A-AWESOME!!!! We ordered this again for dinner!!!
CWC CEVICHE (Kilawin) - Php 220
Tanguige slices marinated in vinegar and coconut milk
This was not a favorite among the group but I guess it's simply because it was better to be eaten while having a good beer :)
SIZZLING PORK SISIG - Php 180
Diced pork with bell peppers, onions, native sili and egg.
This was gooooooood but I wish that the native peppers used were spicy.
BEEF VILLANUEVA - Php 220
Beef strips simmered in beer and cream with potatoes, carrots and mushrooms.
It was like ginataang baka strips! YUMMY!
We felt like ordering more so we tried the BACON and POTATO BREAKFAST BOWL - (Php 130)
This was very filling! The bacon bits were perfect with the country style potatoes with eggs and melted cheese... mmmmmmmmmm....
For dessert, we decided to try their GELATO which was 2 Scoops for Php 100.
We felt ripped off!!! All the while, we thought that the serving per cup was ONE SCOOP since it was a really small cup but no, the server said it was already 2 scoops each! *toinks*
The gelato ice creams were not even good ---- elk! Also, they were already melting when served :(
We had to have a good dessert so we ordered GRACY'S MANGO - Php 120
This was refreshingly good! Shredded mangoes in milk with bits of sago -- perfect combination!
2:00 PM - Lunch was over and it was time to head back to the lobby to get our room keys.
CABANA - Php 1,700 per night
This was conveniently located near the watersports complex, probably the closest to the restaurant and activities area.
It had a comfortable queen bed, small cabinet and toilet.
But do not expect a lot from the Cabana because some of the fixtures were already broken and the paint was chipping off.
CWC usually provide the towels, toilet roll, soap and shampoo but it may be hard to ask for extra supplies because the lobby is far from the cabanas.
There were no phones in the rooms.
Also, sometimes, they do not have extra towels available. It happened to us. Good thing we brought personal towels in our luggage.
WOODEN CABIN - Php 3,250 per night
This was a sight after visiting the Cabana.
The rooms were cleaner and the view was nicer :)
You may request for two single beds or 1 queen bed to be set up in the wooden cabin while the living area can also be converted to another room with one single bed.
The wooden cabin can easily fit 3 people but they had to share one shower room.
3:00 PM - Wakeboarding Time
We decided to take the hourly rate (Php 125 - inclusive of the vest, helmet and wakeboard rental)
You can choose if you want to go to the beginner's area (slower cable speed) or to the regular wakeboarding area.
For those not interested in wakeboarding or kneeboarding, you may stay and relax at the tables beside the cable park and enjoy free wifi.
5:00 PM - LAGO DEL RAY - Php 100 / pax for one hour
We were just in time because they close at 6PM.
It was SUPER FUN here! We climbed the inflatable icebergs, joined the inflatable relay game and the water trampoline!!!
ENERGY LEVEL after this: ZERO!!!
ENERGY LEVEL after this: ZERO!!!
7:40 PM - DINNER TIME
Yes, we ordered the LAING PIZZA again!!!
We also ordered FRIES for appetizer - Php 70
and decided to try the CWC SIGNATURE BURGER (Single- Php 160)
Juiciliscious!
More pizza: 3 CHEESE with ROASTED GARLIC - Php 250
Mozzarella, cheddar and parmesan cheese with roasted garlic
This was another winner!!!
CWC SUPREME - Php 240 - Everything on it pizza: pepperoni, bacon, ground beef, bell pepper, onions and olives topped with mozzarella cheese
CWC PIZZAS WERE CHAMPIONS!!!
and to end DAY ONE, we awarded ourselves with these wonderful Pinoy desserts:
PAN FRIED IBOS ALA MODE - Php 110 - Butter fried ibos topped with Vanilla Ice Cream, crushed pili nuts and coconut sauce.
This was Bicol's version of fried SUMAN with coconut sauce - mmmmmmmmmm good!
TORONES DE LANGKA with ICE CREAM - Php 110 - deep fried plantain, jackfruit and coconut strings served with ice cream.
Nothing special about this but turon with langka is always ALWAYS yummy!

ReplyDeleteIt's quite far.
you may either ride a bus or ride a plane to legaspi.
you may also hire a private van just like what we did :)
