Having made its mark across the United States and over 40 countries worldwide, AntiGravity Yoga, the routine that has changed the way we see yoga is finally here in the Philippines.

AntiGravity Yoga is an aerial art form developed by Christopher Harrison, founder of the acrobatic performance company by the same name, with the mission of merging yoga, athletics and artistry. Harrison recently came to the Philippines through BEYOND YOGA, the Philippines' exclusive partner, to personally train 12 talented individuals made up of national team rock climbers, yogis, artists and fitness champions in the revolutionary routine.

The gravity defying classes have you swinging and hanging from a silk fabric especially crafted for this aerial yoga. The hammock acts like a soft trapeze and as a support. Men and women, young or old, whether experienced in yoga or not, will surely enjoy this getting in all sorts of bends and twists while being suspended three-feet off the floor. (I know I did!)

AntiGravity Yoga is a fusion of yoga poses coupled with acrobatics, calisthenics and pilates. In a 90-minute routine, practitioners are guaranteed to have fun while reaping all the health benefits - one of the most beneficial being spinal decompression through zero compression inversions. (We don't want to get shorter as we age, right?)

Worried that you might not be too flexible or physically fit? Anyone can do AntiGravity Yoga! It is a good routine even for those who are not flexible because your poses are supported by a silk hammock. It will surely keep you coming back for more. I tried it and I couldn't stop talking about it!
