Balai Taal's Secret Garden

We had fun exploring the secret gardens of Balai Taal.

Did you know that they have 14 stations of the cross, which is ideal for those who completes it every year?
The view is amazing and the people who take care of the place are truly wonderful!
The 'tour' starts at Balai Taal's Garden 4.

Then follow the garden's path to the LEFT...

Aaaahhh.. the beauty of nature and it's creatures :p

By the way, since it is more like a FOREST than a garden, beware of insects :)

The place is perfect for photo-ops and family outings :)

Balai Taal also has its own mini outdoor chapel (not advisable for weddings though)

Believe it or not, it's complete with waterfalls, hanging bridges, ponds and even a mini cave!

PAMANA RESTAURANT, TAGAYTAY

Joanne Lily Lim-Lee's early birthday celebration...

She chose Pamana Restaurant in Tagaytay (owned by Happy Ongpauco)
It was our first time to check it out and we weren't disappointed.
The food was good; and, the price was okay :)
Upon entering, you will be greeted by a lot of homemade goodies for sale.

The interior decor includes newspaper clippings and family pictures, which give the place a homey ambiance

I especially loved this part, the wall beside the stairs.

The place's actually a house that was converted into a restaurant.

Pamana's condiments container (very unique)
We ordered the food that Lily was craving for -- CRISPY PATA!!! (Php 470)
It was truly mouth-watering but there were parts that were a bit dry and hard to chew.
We also had Barrio Fiesta's Pakbet (Php 230) as our veggie dish.
I loved their Bicol Express (Php 230) because it has just the right amount of coconut milk and spicy SILI :)
I must say that I highly recommend everyone to try their Adobong Pusit (Php 260).
What makes it really good are the little CRUNCHY squid rings that were mixed carefully with the sauce. YUM YUM!!!
The soup base of Sinigang na Bangus Belly (Php 310) was fantastic!
However, the bangus had a 'soil' taste so we didn't enjoy much of this.
I wasn't able to take a picture of the dessert because I was too excited to drink the Tsokolate Eh with Toasted Ensaimada (Php 170)
The choco drink was a little too sweet but I still liked it coz its Tsokolate Eh!!! :p
As for the service, we had no problems. It was actually good but the staffs should be more alert in checking whether the customers have complete utensils and plates upon serving the food.
